As a school, we are experienced in leading professional learning within the school and for members of staff from other schools in the Central South Consortium.
We have gained valuable experience in recent years designing and delivering high quality programmes for the Foundation Phase, Cadwyn Cynradd (primary) and Gyda’n Gilydd in the secondary sector. Since 2019, we have been selected as the only Welsh medium school in the Professional Learning Alliance and this has led to the opportunity to lead programmes on areas such as action research and mentoring and coaching. We are proud that we have been chosen currently to lead a national Senior Leadership programme, on behalf of the Consortium. The teachers who lead and contribute to the programmes benefit personally and learn professionally. However, a leading role like this has also had a positive impact on the pupils in Llanhari.
